Convert Markdown into clean, safe HTML you can paste anywhere
Runs in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere. Updated on 24 Oct 2026.Write or paste Markdown and get the HTML behind it: headings, lists, tables, links and code blocks as plain tags, ready for a CMS, an email template or a static page. This page opens on the HTML source view. The output is sanitised, so scripts, inline event handlers and javascript: links are removed, and you can copy it or download a complete .html file.
The page opens with HTML selected, so the right pane shows the HTML source.
Type or paste Markdown into the Markdown pane, or click Try an example.
Click Copy HTML to copy the sanitised tags for a CMS or an email template.
Click .html to download a complete HTML page instead.
Markdown Preview shows your Markdown rendered as you type, in a split view: the source on the left and the formatted page on the right. It follows GitHub-flavoured Markdown, so tables, task lists with checkboxes, fenced code blocks, strikethrough and automatic links look the way they will on GitHub or GitLab.
Switch the right pane between the rendered preview and the HTML source. Copy the HTML with one click, download a complete .html file that opens in any browser, or download the .md file to keep the source. A running count shows words, characters, headings and an estimated reading time; words inside code blocks are not counted.
The HTML is always sanitised before it is shown or copied: script tags, inline event handlers, style attributes and javascript: links are stripped, so pasting Markdown from an unknown source is safe. Images from other websites are kept in the copied HTML, but the preview does not load them, because this site never contacts other servers on your behalf. Everything runs in your browser and your text is never uploaded. Related tools: Word Counter, Diff Checker.

Yes, free with no signup and no limit on document length. The page is supported by a few ads shown outside the editor, never inside the preview, and every part of the tool is open to everyone: the live preview, the HTML output, the sanitiser and the downloadable page.
Type or paste your Markdown, switch the right pane to HTML, then press Copy HTML or Download .html. The download is a complete page with a title and simple styles that opens in any browser.
Yes. The output is sanitised: script tags, inline event handlers, style attributes, iframes and javascript: links are removed. Only ordinary formatting tags such as headings, lists, tables, links and code remain.
No. Rendering happens in your browser, so the Markdown you type is never sent to a server. Nothing is saved unless you press Download, and the preview does not fetch images from other sites, so no outside server learns what the document contains either.
