Why your files are never uploaded

Almost everything happens on your device

File tools such as Compress PDF, Image to PDF and Remove Background use your browser's own engine to read and write the file, so a contract, a payslip or a photo stays as private as it was on your disk. Calculators and code tools work the same way: what you type stays on your device.

A few tools exist to ask the outside world a question - DNS and email lookups, WHOIS, ping, port and SSL checks. They send only the domain or address you type, only when you press the button, to the service named next to the box. Every tool page says which kind it is.

Nothing to sign up for

There is no account, no free tier and no watermark on the result. The site pays for itself with a clearly labelled partner card on some pages, never with your files.

It tells you what it will cost you

Before a conversion runs it says what you lose - transparency, an animation frame, a little detail - so the result is never a surprise. Where a job cannot be done well in a browser, the page says so instead of handing back something bad.
