How to put your logo on a video, in any corner, sized and kept for next time
The short answer. 129.6 pixels wide and 32.4 pixels from each edge: that is where a logo lands on a 1920 × 1080 video, bottom right, at 12% and 3% of the short side. Choose the video and a PNG logo together in Video Studio, pick a corner or drag the logo, set Size, Margin and Opacity, and press Save the video.
A logo on a video has to be drawn into every frame, so the whole video is encoded again. Video Studio does that in your browser at the video's own size and frame rate, and says which bitrate it will use before you save. The logo is kept in this browser for the next video and is never uploaded.
How to add the logo
- Open Add Logo to Video or Video Studio. Press Choose clips and pick the video and your logo together. Any picture chosen with the clips is taken as the logo. PNG, WebP and JPEG work; a PNG with a transparent background looks best.
- The logo appears bottom right, and a note says "Logo saved in this browser". Already have clips in? Use + Add your logo (PNG) in the Logo section instead.
- In the Logo section, press Bottom right, Bottom left, Top right or Top left to move it to a corner.
- Set the three sliders:
| Slider | Range | Starts at | Measured as |
|---|---|---|---|
| Size | 3% to 50% | 12% | the logo's width, as a share of the video's short side |
| Margin | 0% to 15% | 3% | the gap to the edges, as a share of the short side |
| Opacity | 10% to 100% | 100% | how solid the logo is; lower lets the picture show through |
- Or drag the logo on the picture to place it anywhere. On a phone, pinch it to resize.
- Press Save the video. Every frame gets the logo.
To make a video without it, turn off "Show my logo on the whole video". Replace logo swaps the picture and keeps the settings.
A worked example
Your logo is a 300 × 100 PNG, three times as wide as it is tall. With the starting settings:
| Video | Short side | Logo size | Gap to the edges |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1920 × 1080 landscape | 1,080 | 129.6 × 43.2 px | 32.4 px |
| 1080 × 1920 Short | 1,080 | 129.6 × 43.2 px | 32.4 px |
| 3840 × 2160 (4K) | 2,160 | 259.2 × 86.4 px | 64.8 px |
The arithmetic for 1080p: the width is 12% × 1,080 = 129.6 pixels, the height is 129.6 ÷ 3 = 43.2, and the margin is 3% × 1,080 = 32.4. In the bottom-right corner on a 1920 × 1080 video, its top-left corner sits at 1,920 − 32.4 − 129.6 = 1,758 pixels across and 1,080 − 32.4 − 43.2 = 1,004.4 down.
Set Size to 20% and Margin to 5%, and the logo becomes 216 × 72 pixels, 54 pixels from the edges. Because both are measured on the short side, the logo is the same size on a landscape video and on a vertical Short made from it, and twice as many pixels on 4K, so it looks the same.
Kept for next time
The logo picture and its corner, size, margin and opacity are saved in this browser's own storage, not on a server. Open Video Studio again and the logo is already there. A private window, or clearing the site's data, forgets it; add it once more.
If it doesn't work
- The logo has a white or black box around it. The file has no transparent background. JPEG never has one; export the logo as a PNG with transparency.
- The logo is gone the next day. The browser's storage was cleared, or you used a private window. Choose the logo again.
- The logo is too small on a phone screen. Raise Size. At 12% of a 1,080-pixel side it is about 130 pixels wide; at 20% it is 216.
- "This browser cannot encode video." Use Chrome or Edge on a computer or Android, or the latest Safari.
Questions people ask
How do I add a logo to a video for free?
Open Video Studio, press Choose clips and select the video and a PNG logo together. The logo appears bottom right; pick another corner, drag it, or set Size, Margin and Opacity. Press Save the video. It runs in your browser, adds no watermark of its own, and never uploads the video or the logo.
What size should a logo be on a video?
Video Studio starts at 12% of the video's short side, 129.6 pixels wide on a 1080p video, with a 3% gap to the edges. At 20% it is 216 pixels wide, with a 54-pixel gap at a 5% margin. The Size slider goes from 3% to 50%, and the logo keeps its own proportions at every size.
Can I make the logo semi-transparent?
Yes. The Opacity slider goes from 10% to 100%, and the picture shows through as you lower it. The setting applies to the logo on every frame. For a fully transparent background behind the logo itself, use a PNG with transparency; opacity alone does not remove a white box.
Does adding a logo reduce the video quality?
Every frame changes, so the whole video is encoded again at its own size and frame rate. The bitrate is at least 16 Mbps for 1080p and 45 Mbps for 4K, or 1.5 times your source's bitrate if that is higher, and the page shows it before you save. The result looks the same but is not a bit-for-bit copy.
Can I show the logo only for part of the video?
No. Video Studio puts the logo on the whole video, every clip and every frame, or leaves it off. To hide something for a few seconds only, the clip list has cover boxes, which fill an area of your own clip with a colour picked from the frame and can be limited to chosen seconds.

- The starting logo: bottom right, 12% of the short side, 3% margin, 100% opacity.
- The slider ranges: Size 3% to 50%, Margin 0% to 15%, Opacity 10% to 100%; pinching on the picture allows up to 60%.
- The logo is stored in the browser's IndexedDB with its settings and is never sent to a server.
- The bitrate rules: at least 16 Mbps for 1080p and 45 Mbps for 4K on High, or 1.5 times the busiest source clip.
