Make a slide deck from the headings in a Word document
Processed in your browser. Nothing is uploaded. Updated on 24 Oct 2026.Building slides from a document saves rewriting it: each Heading 1, 2 or 3 becomes a slide title and the paragraphs beneath it become bullets, six to a slide. One .docx of up to 25 MB, converted to a real .pptx in your browser, with nothing uploaded and no account.
Press Select a Word document and choose the .docx, or drop it onto the page.
Pick a Slide shape: 16:9 widescreen or 4:3 standard.
Check What the deck will hold: each heading becomes a slide title.
Press Convert to slides, then Download .pptx; the document stays on your device.
Word to PPT reads a Word document and writes a PowerPoint deck from its structure. A Heading 1, Heading 2 or Heading 3 starts a slide and becomes its title; the paragraphs and list items underneath become the bullets on that slide, in the order they appear. The result is a real .pptx that opens in PowerPoint, Google Slides and Keynote, with editable text boxes you can move, retype and restyle.
The structure is read, not guessed. A .docx records which paragraphs carry a Heading style, so the tool asks the file rather than looking at which lines happen to be large or bold. That is why applying Heading styles in Word is the single thing that most changes the result: a document where the section titles were only made bigger by hand has no headings as far as the file is concerned, and cannot be split into topics.
A document with no headings at all is still converted rather than refused. Its paragraphs are grouped six to a slide with no titles, which is a starting point to edit rather than a finished deck, and the page says so before you press the button. Refusing a perfectly readable document would look like the tool being broken; inventing titles from first lines would be worse, because a wrong title has to be deleted before the slide can be used.
What does not come across is stated before converting, not discovered afterwards. Images, charts, shapes and SmartArt are left behind. Tables are dropped and counted, because a table read left to right into bullets is nonsense somebody then has to delete. Bold, italic, colours, fonts and indentation give way to one clean slide style, which is far quicker to restyle than a deck carrying a document's typography.
Long sections do not overflow. A heading with more than six bullets, or with more text than a slide holds, continues onto another slide marked "(continued)", and the body type is set smaller on a full slide so the words fit as written rather than relying on PowerPoint to shrink them later. The document is read and the deck written in this page; nothing is uploaded and no account is needed.
Heading styles decide it. A paragraph carrying Heading 1, Heading 2 or Heading 3 in Word starts a slide and becomes its title, and everything between that heading and the next one becomes the bullets. Text merely made bigger or bold by hand is not a heading as far as the file is concerned.
Such a document is still converted, not refused. Apply Heading 1 or Heading 2 in Word and convert again for one slide per section.
Yes. Every slide is built from real text boxes, so the title and the bullets can be retyped, moved, resized and restyled in PowerPoint, Google Slides or Keynote like anything you typed there yourself. Nothing is flattened into a picture, which is what makes this different from converting a PDF into slides.
No. Word to PPT carries the text and nothing else, so pictures, charts, shapes and SmartArt are left behind. Tables are dropped rather than flattened, because reading a table left to right into bullets produces lines nobody can use. The page counts the table rows it skipped before you convert.
No. The .docx is read and the .pptx written by code running in your browser. Nothing reaches a server, nothing is stored and no account is needed. Turn your connection off after the page has loaded and the tool still works, which is the simplest way to check the claim for yourself.
A heading with more than six bullets, or with more text than one slide holds, continues onto another slide titled the same way and marked "(continued)". Cutting the section short would lose a sentence quietly, which is worse than a deck running a slide or two longer than expected.
Word ko PPT banaye: add one .docx of up to 25 MB, press convert, and every Heading becomes a slide title with the paragraphs under it as bullets. Choose 16:9 or 4:3 first. Photos, tables and formatting are not carried over, only the text, and the deck is written on your own device.
