One time shown in several cities at once, daylight saving included, with a meeting grid

Runs in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere. Updated on 24 Oct 2026.

Time Zone Converter shows one time in several cities at once using the time-zone database built into your browser, so daylight saving is applied on the right dates. At 10:00 in India on 22 October 2026 it is 05:30 in London, 00:30 in New York and 08:30 in Dubai.

How to convert a time between time zones

1

Pick the "Date" and enter the "Time", then choose the place that time belongs to under "From".

2

Under "Show it in", tick the cities you need, or type any IANA zone name such as Asia/Kathmandu and press Add.

3

Read each city's time, date, UTC offset and difference in the table; a "next day" or "previous day" mark shows a date change.

4

Open "Meeting grid" to see every hour of the day across the first four places, with the hours all of them are at work marked.

5

Press "Share result" to copy a link with these places and this time.

About the Time Zone Converter

Pick a date and a time, say which place that time belongs to, and the page shows the same moment in every city you add: the local time, the date and weekday there, the zone's abbreviation, its offset from UTC and how far it is ahead of or behind your starting place. A mark tells you when the other city is already on the next day, or still on the previous one.

The date matters. Many countries move their clocks for summer, and they do it on different days. The US changes on the second Sunday of March and the first Sunday of November, the UK and the EU on the last Sundays of March and October, and south-eastern Australia and New Zealand in the opposite half of the year. For a few weeks each March and about a week each autumn, the gap between London and New York is an hour shorter than usual. India, the Gulf, China and Japan do not change at all. The table says, for each place, whether it is on summer time on the date you chose.

No offset table. Every conversion uses the time-zone database built into your browser, looked up by zone name such as Europe/London or Asia/Kolkata. It is the database phones and computers use, updated with the browser; nothing is sent anywhere. The list offers popular cities; any other IANA zone name can be typed.

Times that do not exist, or happen twice. When clocks go forward, an hour is skipped: 02:30 on 8 March 2026 never happens in New York. The page says so and shows the moment as 03:30, the time a clock would read. When clocks go back, an hour happens twice; the page uses the first one and says so.

The meeting grid. For the first four places, the grid lists every hour of your chosen day with the local time in each, shaded as working hours, early or late, or night. The rows where everyone is inside working hours are marked, so the best slot for a call can be read off at a glance. Working hours default to 09:00 to 17:00 and can be changed. Weekends and public holidays are not taken into account. For India with a US or UK team, with separate shifts for each side, the working hours overlap tool goes further.

Frequently asked questions

Does the converter handle daylight saving time?

Yes. Every time is looked up in the time-zone database built into your browser for the exact date you pick, so a city on summer time gets its summer offset. On 22 October 2026 London is on BST, one hour ahead of GMT; from 25 October it is back on GMT.

What happens if I enter a time that is skipped when the clocks go forward?

A skipped time never happens on that day. 02:30 on 8 March 2026 does not exist in New York, because clocks jump from 02:00 to 03:00. The page says so and shows the moment as 03:30, the time a clock reads one hour on.

And a time that happens twice when the clocks go back?

When clocks go back, the hour before the change repeats. 01:30 on 1 November 2026 happens twice in New York, first in EDT and then in EST. The page uses the first one and tells you it is repeated.

Why does the time difference between two cities change during the year?

Because countries change their clocks on different dates, and some never change. India is 9 hours 30 minutes ahead of New York in the US summer and 10 hours 30 minutes ahead in winter. London and New York are four hours apart for two or three weeks in March and about one week at the turn of October and November, and five hours apart the rest of the year.

Can I use a city that is not in the list?

Yes. Type its IANA zone name, such as Asia/Kathmandu or America/Argentina/Cordoba, and press Add. Any zone your browser knows works; a name it does not know is refused rather than guessed.

How does the meeting grid pick the best hours?

The grid goes through each hour of the day in your starting place and checks the local time in up to four cities. An hour is marked when it falls wholly inside every city's working hours, 09:00 to 17:00 unless you change them. Weekends and public holidays are not considered.
