Rows of realistic test data as JSON, CSV, SQL or XML, the same every time from one seed
Runs in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere. Checked against sources on 15 Oct 2026.Test data that changes on every run makes a failing test impossible to repeat. Here the seed is part of the input, so the same seed gives the same rows for ever, up to 5,000 of them as JSON, CSV, SQL or XML. Every email address ends at example.com.
Name each field and pick its type, such as Full name, Email or Date; press Add a field for more.
Set Rows to how many records you need.
Keep or change the Seed; the same seed always gives the same rows.
Choose JSON, CSV, SQL or XML under Save as, then press Copy or Download.
Mock Data Generator makes rows of believable test data in your browser: names, emails, phone numbers, Indian addresses with real PIN codes, companies, dates and timestamps, IP addresses, user agents, prices and more, written out as JSON, CSV, SQL INSERT statements or XML. You choose the fields, name each one, set how many rows you want, and copy or download the result.
What separates it from the others is the seed. Every generator of this kind gives you something different each time you press the button, which is the wrong behaviour for a test fixture: the run that failed cannot be repeated, and the data that caused it is gone. Here the seed is part of the input. The same seed and the same fields produce the same rows for ever, on any machine and in any browser, so a colleague who types the seed you used gets your file exactly. That also means a repository does not need a megabyte of sample data committed to it; the seed is enough to rebuild it.
The values are chosen to be safe to use. Email addresses all end at example.com, a domain reserved by RFC 2606 for documentation and testing, so a fixture loaded into the wrong environment cannot post to a real person. IP addresses come only from the RFC 5737 documentation blocks and URLs stay on example.com. An address pairs a real city, state and PIN with an invented house and street. Phone numbers follow the Indian mobile format but are random, so never dial one. Names are ordinary Indian first and last names, which is what most demos of an Indian product should show rather than the American placeholder names everything else produces.
Up to five thousand rows at a time. The CSV follows RFC 4180, so a value containing a comma or a quote is quoted and its quotes doubled. The SQL quotes names and text the way PostgreSQL or MySQL each expect, backslashes included.
Everything runs on your device. Nothing is uploaded, and there is no account to make.
Choose the fields you need, give each one a name, set how many rows and pick JSON or CSV. The rows appear straight away and you copy or download them. Keep the seed if you want the same data again later; change it for a different set.
Because a fixture that changes on every run makes a failing test impossible to repeat. The seed feeds a small deterministic generator, so the same seed and fields give identical rows on any machine, and a colleague who types your seed rebuilds your file exactly.
No. Every address ends at example.com, a domain reserved by RFC 2606 for documentation and testing, so nothing can ever be delivered to a real person. Phone numbers are another matter: they follow the Indian format but are random, so never dial one.
Up to five thousand in one go, which covers a demo table, a seeded database or a load of fixtures. For more than that, run it again with a different seed and join the files; the browser stays responsive rather than freezing on a huge single run.
Yes. The file follows RFC 4180: a value containing a comma, a quote or a line break is wrapped in quotes and its own quotes are doubled, which is what spreadsheets expect. The first line is the column headings you named.
Test data kaise banaye: fields chuniye, rows ki ginti daaliye, aur JSON ya CSV download kar lijiye. Koi account nahi chahiye aur kuch upload nahi hota, sab kuch aapke browser mein banta hai. Same seed dobara wahi rows deta hai.
Rates and rules change; check the source before you rely on a figure.
