Type or paste your text into the box.
Find the case you want in the list below: UPPER CASE, lower case, Title Case, Sentence case and more.
Press Copy next to that case.
Paste the converted text where you need it; nothing you type leaves your browser.
This case converter rewrites your text in eleven cases at once: UPPER CASE, lower case, Title Case, Sentence case, camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, kebab-case, CONSTANT_CASE, aLtErNaTiNg and iNVERSE. Type or paste once and every version updates as you type, each with its own Copy button.
Two jobs bring most people here. The first is fixing prose: a paragraph typed with Caps Lock on, a headline that needs proper title capitals, or a list of names that arrived in shouting capitals from a spreadsheet. The second is programming: turning "first name" into firstName for JavaScript, first_name for a database column, or first-name for a CSS class or URL slug.
The conversions follow clear rules. Title Case keeps a, an, the, of, in, on, and, or, but, for, to, at and by in lower case unless they start or end the title or follow a colon. Sentence case capitalises the first letter of each sentence and each line, and turns a lone "i" into "I". Both keep acronyms such as NASA and brands such as iPhone, unless the whole text is in capitals. The code cases convert each line separately and split existing identifiers, so XMLHttpRequest becomes xml_http_request.
Everything runs in your browser, so nothing you paste is sent anywhere. Press Ctrl+Enter to copy the highlighted case. To count the result, use the Word Counter; to clean a list first, use Remove Duplicate Lines.
Paste the text and copy the Sentence case version. It lowers every letter, then capitalises the first letter of each sentence and each line and turns a lone "i" into "I". Title Case is the other option if the text is a heading. Because the whole input is in capitals, acronyms cannot be told apart and are lowered too.
A, an, the, of, in, on, and, or, but, for, to, at and by stay lower case in the middle of a title. They are capitalised when they are the first or last word, or when they follow a colon or full stop, as in "Star Wars: A New Hope". Both parts of a hyphenated word are capitalised: "Well-Known".
camelCase joins words and capitalises every word except the first (firstName), as used for JavaScript variables. PascalCase capitalises every word (FirstName), as used for class names. snake_case joins lower-case words with underscores (first_name), common in Python and databases. kebab-case uses hyphens (first-name) for URLs and CSS. CONSTANT_CASE is snake case in capitals.
Yes. Paste one item per line. The code cases (camelCase, snake_case, kebab-case and so on) convert each line on its own, so a column of field names becomes a column of identifiers. Title Case and Sentence case also treat each line separately, which suits lists of headings.
Yes, in Title Case and Sentence case, as long as the rest of your text uses normal capitals. Words written entirely in capitals, and words with a capital inside such as iPhone, are kept as typed. If the whole input is in capitals, everything is lowered first, because there is no way to tell the acronyms apart.
No. The conversions happen in your browser as you type, and nothing is uploaded. The text is remembered on this device only so it survives a reload, and Clear removes it. Very long text, up to a million characters, still converts, though a phone may take a moment.
