Pack files or a whole folder into one zip to send or store
Processed in your browser. Nothing is uploaded. Updated on 25 Oct 2026.Pack a pile of files, or a whole folder with its subfolders, into a single zip that is easy to attach to an email or upload to a form that accepts only one file. Choose how hard to compress: none for photos and videos, which are already compressed, or maximum for documents and text. The zip is built on your own device, so nothing is uploaded first.
The page opens on Create a zip; press Select files or drop files or a whole folder onto it.
Pick a Compression level: None for photos and videos, Maximum for documents and text.
Leave Keep folder structure on to keep subfolders inside the zip.
Press Create zip, then Download zip to save the single file to your device.
Zip / Unzip makes a zip file from any files you choose, or opens a zip so you can take out exactly what you need. Creating a zip packs everything into one file that is easy to email or upload; opening one shows the contents as a folder tree with the size of every file, a download button on each, and one button to save them all.
People use it to send twenty scanned pages as a single attachment, to upload a project folder to a portal that takes only one file, and to open a zip that arrived by email on a phone or an office computer where installing an unzip program is not allowed. Drop a whole folder and its subfolders keep their structure inside the zip. Pick a compression level: None is fastest for photos and videos, which are already compressed, and Maximum squeezes documents, spreadsheets and text the most.
Everything happens in your browser, so files are never uploaded. Before any zip is opened, its declared sizes are checked: an archive that would expand beyond 2 GB, or more than 100 times its packed size once it passes 10 MB, is refused as a likely zip bomb, so a malicious file cannot freeze your device. File paths are cleaned so nothing can be written outside the folder you choose. Up to 1,000 files and 2 GB per zip.

Choose Open a zip, drop the .zip file on the page, and its contents appear as a folder tree. Click the download button next to any file to save it, or Save all to get everything. No signup, no upload and no software to install, on a phone or a computer.
No. The zip is read and written by code running in your browser, on your own device. Your files never reach a server, which is why large folders start instantly and why private documents stay private. The page works with your connection switched off once it has loaded.
Choose Create a zip, then click Choose a folder, or drag the folder onto the page. Every file inside is added with its folder path, so the zip opens with the same structure. Switch off Keep folder structure if you want all files side by side instead.
Zip / Unzip detects password protection and sends you to Protect / Unlock ZIP, where you type the password you know and get an unlocked copy. It cannot guess or crack a password; without the password the files stay locked, which is the point of protecting them.
