Make a receipt for a shop sale in seconds, as a PDF or printed on a thermal printer
Estimates only, not financial advice. What you type stays on your device. Updated on 24 Oct 2026.A simple receipt PDF for a shop or stall, on A5, A4 or an 80 mm thermal roll, with the total in figures and in words and the next receipt number ready for the next customer. The shop name is typed once and kept on this device; nothing is uploaded or stored anywhere else.
| Item | Qty | Rate (₹) | Amount | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ₹0 |
Your shop details and the next receipt number are remembered on this device. Nothing is uploaded.
Epson TM-T82X: 80 mm · 48 characters a line · cutter · QR codes · USB, Serial (COM port), LAN.
The QR is printed when the receipt is paid by UPI, card or bank, or unpaid, and a UPI ID is given above. Turn it off if the test page shows no QR code.
Receipt printers cannot print the rupee sign or Hindi letters in this mode, so amounts show as Rs. and Hindi text is spelt out in English letters. The receipt goes from this page to the printer and nowhere else.
Type your "Shop name", "Phone" and "Address" once; they are remembered on this device.
Check the "Receipt no." and "Date", and add the "Customer (optional)".
Add items with the + chips or "+ Add a line", and set the Qty and Rate for each.
Pick "Paid by" and the "Paper" size: "A5 (half A4)", "A4" or "80 mm thermal roll".
Check the "Total" in words and press "Download receipt" to save the PDF.
A customer at a photocopy shop, a tailor's counter or a tuition centre sometimes asks for a receipt. This page makes one in the time it takes to write it by hand, and it looks better.
Once, then never again. Your shop name, address, phone and GSTIN (if you have one) are remembered on this device, along with the next receipt number. Every download moves the number on by one - R-0041 becomes R-0042 - and clears the items for the next customer.
Items in taps. Common jobs are one tap each: photocopies in black and white or colour, prints, passport photos, lamination, scanning, spiral binding, online form filling. Set the quantity and your rate and the amount is worked out. Add any other line by typing it.
The total, properly. A discount comes off the subtotal, an optional tax percentage is added on what remains, and the total is written out in words in Indian style ("Rupees One Lakh Fifty Only"), as a receipt should show it. Payment by cash, UPI, card or bank transfer is noted.
Paper sizes. A5, which is half an A4 sheet, suits most printers; A4 is there too, and an 80 mm thermal roll for a receipt printer, cut to exactly the length the receipt needs.
In Chrome or Edge on a computer, or Chrome on Android, the receipt can go straight to a shop's thermal printer over USB, a serial (COM) port or Bluetooth, with no print dialog. Pick the model - Epson TM-T82X, TM-T88VI or TM-m30, TVS RP 3160 Gold or RP 3200 Plus, Xprinter XP-58IIH or XP-N160II, Rugtek RP-76III, or a generic 58 mm or 80 mm printer - print a test page, then print the receipt. The paper is cut where the printer has a cutter, and a UPI QR with the amount can be added. These printers have no rupee sign or Hindi letters in this mode, so amounts print as Rs. and Hindi is spelt in English letters. Firefox, Safari and iPhones cannot reach a printer this way; use the 80 mm PDF there.
This is a simple receipt, not a tax invoice. For a GST invoice with HSN codes and CGST, SGST or IGST, use the GST Invoice Generator.
Enter your shop name once, add each item with its quantity and rate, choose how it was paid, and press Download. You get a PDF receipt with a receipt number, the date, the items, the total in figures and in words. The shop details are remembered for next time.
Yes. After each download the number moves on by one, keeping its shape: R-0041 becomes R-0042, and INV/2026/9 becomes INV/2026/10. You can type any number yourself to start a new series.
Yes, in Chrome or Edge on a computer and Chrome on Android. Choose your printer model, connect over USB, a COM port or Bluetooth, print a test page, then print the receipt; Epson, TVS, Xprinter and Rugtek models are listed, plus generic 58 mm and 80 mm printers. In other browsers, download the 80 mm PDF and print that.
No. It is a simple receipt for a sale or a service. An optional tax percentage can be added as one line, but a GST tax invoice needs HSN codes and CGST, SGST or IGST split out; use the GST Invoice Generator for that.
The PDF uses the fonts built into every PDF reader, which have no rupee symbol, and a receipt printer in ESC/POS mode has none either, nor Hindi letters. Amounts are written as Rs. with Indian digit grouping, such as Rs. 1,25,000, and Hindi text on a printed slip is spelt in English letters.
Only in this browser on this device, so the page can fill it in next time. It is never uploaded, and clearing the site's data in your browser removes it. The receipts themselves are made in your browser too.
Formula only: no rates or limits are read from an official source.
