Write text anywhere on a photo, in any font, colour and size, and save it at full size
Processed in your browser. Nothing is uploaded. Updated on 24 Oct 2026.Drop a picture and a text box appears in the middle with the cursor in it. Type, drag the box anywhere, and set its font, size, colour, outline, shadow and background. Add up to 20 boxes, then save the picture at its full size as JPG, PNG or WebP, with nothing uploaded.
Drop the picture on the page or press Select an image; a text box appears in the middle and the cursor goes to it.
Type your words, then drag the box on the preview or press a spot on the position grid.
Pick a font, size and colour; open Style for an outline, a shadow, a background box or a slant.
Press Add text for another box, then Download; the picture is saved at its full size and nothing is uploaded.
Words on a picture turn a photo into a poster, a sale notice, a slide, a quote card or a label on a diagram. This page puts them exactly where you want them, in the style you want, on your own picture.
Any number of boxes. Each piece of text is its own box, up to 20 on one picture. Every box has its own words, font, size, colour and place. Tap a box on the preview to choose it, drag it to move it, or press a spot on the 3 by 3 position grid to send it to a corner, an edge or the middle. The arrow keys nudge the chosen box, and Shift with an arrow moves it further.
Readable on any background. An outline in a contrasting colour is on by default, so white letters read on a bright sky as well as on a dark road. Add a soft shadow, or switch on a background box in any colour and see-through amount. Text can lean from -180 to 180 degrees for a stamp or a label along a line.
Fonts. Six styles are offered: Sans, Serif, Poster, Rounded, Typewriter and Hand. They use fonts already on your device, so nothing extra is downloaded and the preview matches the saved picture. Size is set in percent of the picture's shorter side, so the same setting looks the same on a phone photo and on a large scan.
Full size out. The preview is scaled to fit your screen, but the saved picture keeps every pixel of the original. Save as PNG for an exact copy with clear areas kept clear, or as JPG or WebP at the quality you choose for a smaller file.
Private. Everything happens in this page: the picture is not uploaded, nothing is stored, and there is no watermark or sign-up. For classic top and bottom meme text, use Meme Generator; to stamp a faint name across many photos, use Watermark Image.

Yes. Press Add text for each new box, up to 20, and every box keeps its own words, font, colour, outline and position. Tap a box on the preview, or its name in the list, to change it, and press Delete to remove it. Boxes added later are drawn on top.
Give the letters an outline in a contrasting colour, which is on by default at 8 percent of the letter size, or switch on Background box for a solid or see-through panel behind the words. A soft shadow also helps on bright skies. White text with a dark outline reads on almost any picture.
The picture keeps its full width and height in pixels. PNG saves every pixel exactly; JPG and WebP compress the result again at the quality you choose, 92 by default, which is hard to tell from the original. Choose PNG when the picture has clear areas that must stay clear.
Six styles are offered: Sans, Serif, Poster, Rounded, Typewriter and Hand. Each uses fonts already on your device, such as Arial, Georgia or Impact, so nothing is downloaded and the preview matches the saved picture. On a device without a font, the nearest one in the same style is used.
No. The picture is opened, drawn and saved inside this page on your own device, so nothing is sent to a server and there is no watermark or account. Pictures up to 50 MB and 10,000 pixels on a side are accepted, including HEIC photos from an iPhone.
