Watermark Image

files

Add a text or logo watermark to photos, placed or tiled, many at once

Processed in your browser. Nothing is uploaded. Updated on 24 Oct 2026.

A watermark marks a photograph as yours before it goes anywhere public. Add text or a logo, put it in a corner or tile it across the picture, and set how strong it looks. Up to 20 photos of 50 MB each, stamped on your device.

Next:
  • Compress the image Shrink JPG, PNG and WebP with a live before and after preview
  • Resize the image Resize by pixels or percent, with presets for passport photos and social media
  • Put it in a PDF Turn photos into a PDF, one per page or several per page

How to watermark photos

1

Drop photos on the page or press Select photos; you can add up to 20 and they stay on your device.

2

Under Watermark, choose Text and type it, or choose Logo and press Choose a logo for a PNG.

3

Set the Opacity and Angle, then click one of the Position squares or press Tile across the photo.

4

Press Apply watermark (or Apply to all), then Download; several photos come as one zip.

About Watermark Image

Watermark Image puts your text or logo on top of a photo and saves a new copy, leaving the original untouched. Type a name or copyright line, or add a PNG logo with a transparent background, then choose the colour, how see-through it is, its size and its angle. The preview shows the watermark on your photo as you change each setting.

Photographers use it on client previews so proofs cannot be used without paying, sellers use it on product photos before listing them on marketplaces, and anyone can use it to mark pictures that go on social media. Place the mark in one of nine positions, or tile it diagonally across the whole picture so it cannot be cropped out of a corner.

Sizes are set relative to each photo rather than in pixels, so a batch of portrait and landscape pictures of different sizes all get a mark that looks the same. Add up to 20 photos of up to 50 MB each, apply once, and download them one by one or together as a zip.

All of this runs in your browser. Your photos and your logo are never uploaded. A watermark discourages copying but cannot prevent it; a large tiled mark at around 30 to 50 percent opacity is the hardest to remove. Use Resize Image first if you are sharing very large photos, and Metadata Remover if you also want to strip camera and location details.

Frequently asked questions

How do I add a watermark to a photo?

Add the photo, type your text in the watermark box or switch to Logo and add a PNG, then pick a position, size and opacity while watching the preview. Press Apply to all and download. The original photo on your device is not changed.

Do my photos get uploaded?

No. The watermark is drawn in your browser on your own device. Neither the photos nor your logo are sent anywhere, so client work and unreleased product pictures stay private.

Can I watermark many photos at once?

Yes. Add up to 20 photos and they all receive the same watermark. Because the size and margin are set as a share of each photo, portrait and landscape pictures of different sizes look consistent. Download them together as a zip.

How do I stop people cropping my watermark out?

Choose Tile to repeat the mark across the whole picture, tilt it to around 30 degrees, and set opacity near 40 percent so the photo is still visible. A single mark in a corner is easy to crop away; a tiled one is not.

Can I use my logo with a transparent background?

Yes. Add a PNG logo with transparency and only the logo itself is drawn on the photo. Set its width as a share of the photo, its opacity, and its position. JPG logos work too but keep their rectangular background.

What are the limits?

Up to 20 photos per batch, each up to 50 MB, and a logo up to 10 MB. JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, AVIF and HEIC photos are accepted; HEIC is saved as JPG.
