This calculator adds up what an employee in Colombia is owed when the contract ends, from the Código Sustantivo del Trabajo in the Ministry of ICT's official legal compilation and the 2026 minimum wage and transport allowance decrees.
The prestaciones. The prima de servicios pays 30 days a year, so the semester the job ends in pays salary × days / 360. The cesantías pay a month's salary a year, here for the year the job ends in, with 12% interest a year on them for the same time. Both use the salary plus the transport allowance for workers earning up to two minimum wages. Earlier years' cesantías are assumed paid into the fund.
Vacation. Fifteen working days for every 360 days worked, less the days taken, each worth the salary divided by 30.
The indemnity. Article 64 applies when the employer dismisses without just cause, or the worker leaves for a just cause the employer gave. A fixed-term contract pays the salary for the time left to its end; a contract for a task pays the time left, at least 15 days. An indefinite contract pays, under 10 minimum wages, 30 days for the first year and 20 more for each further year and in proportion; from 10 minimum wages, 20 days and 15 more a year.
A worked example. 2,500,000 pesos from 1 March 2023 to 30 September 2026, indefinite, dismissed without just cause, 30 vacation days taken: prima 687,274, cesantías 2,061,821, interest 185,564, vacation 1,979,167 and an indemnity of 81.67 days, 6,805,556 pesos. The total is 11,719,382 pesos.
Salario integral. An integral salary already includes the prima and cesantías, so only vacation and any indemnity are paid, on the whole salary.
Not included. The older table for workers with 10 years on 27 December 2002, the late-payment penalty of article 65, protected dismissals (pregnancy, union, health), variable-salary averages and taxes on the settlement.

Add the unpaid salary, the prima for the semester (salary × days / 360), the cesantías for the year (salary × days / 360) with 12% yearly interest, the vacation not taken at salary ÷ 30 a day and, after a dismissal without just cause, the article 64 indemnity.
For an indefinite contract and a salary under 10 minimum wages, article 64 pays 30 days of salary for up to a year of service and 20 more days for each further year, in proportion for a fraction. From 10 minimum wages it is 20 days and 15 more per year.
Resigning without a just cause the employer gave earns no indemnity, but the settlement still pays the unpaid salary, the prima for the semester, the cesantías and their interest for the year, and every vacation day earned and not taken, all on the last salary.
Article 64 pays the salaries for the time left until the agreed end of a fixed-term contract when the employer ends it without just cause. Forty-five days left on a 2,500,000-peso salary are worth 3,750,000 pesos. A contract for a task pays the time left, never less than 15 days.
For workers earning up to two minimum wages, 3,501,810 pesos in 2026, the 249,095-peso auxilio de transporte is added to the base of the prima and the cesantías under Law 1 of 1963. It does not count for vacation or the indemnity, which use the salary alone.
A salario integral of at least 13 minimum wages already pays the prima, the cesantías and their interest in advance, under article 132. Its settlement is therefore the unpaid salary, the vacation not taken and, after a dismissal without just cause, the indemnity at the lower table for 10 minimum wages or more.
