Hindi (हिन्दी) is already selected under "Language".
Type the number or rupee amount in "Amount in rupees".
Keep both "Cheque wording" chips on for a cheque line in the form रुपये ... मात्र, or turn them off for plain words.
Read the Hindi words, then press "Copy the line", or "Copy English" for the English line beside it.
Type any number or amount and it comes back in Devanagari on the lakh and crore scale, with paise spelled out, and as a cheque line in the form रुपये ... मात्र. The English wording sits beside it for a bilingual form.
Banks reject a cheque when the figures and the words disagree, and the words row is where the mistake usually is. Type the amount once here and the exact line comes back, ready to copy: ₹1,25,000 gives "Rupees One Lakh Twenty Five Thousand Only", and ₹45,500.50 gives "Rupees Forty Five Thousand Five Hundred and Fifty Paise Only". The digits appear beside the words in Indian grouping, so the two rows of the cheque can be checked against each other before anything is signed.
Two number systems are offered because Indians are asked for both. The Indian system groups digits two-two-three and names thousand, lakh and crore, which is what a cheque, an invoice, a rent agreement and a court affidavit use. The international system groups in threes and names thousand, million, billion and trillion, which is what a foreign bank form or an export document asks for. The same ₹25,00,00,000 is Twenty Five Crore in one and Two Hundred Fifty Million in the other, and converting between them by hand is exactly where a zero goes missing.
Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati and Tamil are written in their own scripts, on the lakh and crore scale with arab and kharab above it, so ₹1,23,45,678.50 reads एक करोड़ तेईस लाख पैंतालीस हज़ार छह सौ अठहत्तर in Hindi. The spellings follow the Unicode CLDR number rules for each language, and every number from 1 to 99,999 is tested against them. The cheque line uses each language's own closing word (मात्र, फक्त, પૂરા, மட்டும்), and the English line is shown beside it for a bilingual form. The page does not translate the rest of a cheque or a document.

50,000 in Hindi words is पचास हज़ार. On a cheque the line is रुपये पचास हज़ार मात्र. Type any other number or rupee amount above to read it in Hindi script, with paise spelled out when there are any.
12,50,000 in Hindi words is बारह लाख पचास हज़ार. On a cheque the line is रुपये बारह लाख पचास हज़ार मात्र. Type any other number or rupee amount above to read it in Hindi script, with paise spelled out when there are any.
Write the word Rupees, then the amount spelled out, then the word Only with no gap left after it, so nothing can be added later. For ₹45,000 the line reads Rupees Forty Five Thousand Only. Paise are written after the rupees, as in and Fifty Paise Only.
Pick the language above the amount and the words come back in that script: ₹1,500 is एक हज़ार पाँच सौ रुपये in Hindi. With both cheque options on, the line takes the form रुपये ... मात्र in Hindi, रुपये ... फक्त in Marathi, રૂપિયા ... પૂરા in Gujarati and ரூபாய் ... மட்டும் in Tamil.
One crore is written as Rupees One Crore Only on a cheque, and 1,00,00,000 in figures. In the international system the same amount is Ten Million. Larger figures keep counting in crore, so 25,00,00,000 reads Twenty Five Crore rather than moving to a new word.
Indian grouping puts commas at two-two-three and names thousand, lakh and crore; international grouping puts them every three digits and names thousand, million and billion. The figure 2,50,00,000 in Indian style is 25,000,000 in international style: Two Crore Fifty Lakh, or Twenty Five Million.
