Download a plain image in one solid colour, or transparent, at any width and height
Processed in your browser. Nothing is uploaded. Updated on 24 Oct 2026.Make an image that is one solid colour and nothing else: white, black, a brand colour or fully transparent, at any size from 1 pixel up to 8,192 pixels on a side. It opens as a white 1200 × 630 PNG with no text, ready to download. Use it as a canvas to paint on, a background layer, a spacer or a test file. The picture is drawn in your browser, so nothing is uploaded.
Type the width and height in pixels, or tap one of the common sizes.
Pick the colour from the palette, use the colour picker, or tick Transparent background under More options.
Choose PNG for a transparent or exact solid colour, JPG for the smallest file.
Press Download to save the blank image to your device.
Placeholder Image Generator makes a stand-in picture for a layout, a mockup, a slide or a test: a coloured rectangle of exactly the size you need, with the size written across it, such as "1200 × 630". Designers drop it into a frame before the real artwork exists, developers use it to check that a page reserves the right space, and testers use it to see how a form handles a picture of a given size and type.
The page opens on a 1200 × 630 PNG, the size link previews use on Facebook, LinkedIn and chat apps. One tap switches to HD 1920 × 1080, an upright 1080 × 1920 story, a 1080 square, a 1280 × 720 video thumbnail, a 1500 × 500 header banner, a 512 pixel app icon or 4K, or you type any width and height. The largest picture is 16.7 million pixels, 4096 × 4096, because that is what a phone browser can draw.
Colours come from a named palette or the colour picker; the text colour follows the background so the label stays readable. Replace the label with your own words, hide it for a blank image, or add a grid, checks, stripes or noise under More options. Noise matters for upload tests: a plain colour compresses to a few kilobytes, while a noisy JPG at HD size behaves more like a photograph.

Tap one of the common sizes or type the width and height in pixels, choose PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG, then press Download. The picture shows its own size as a label, such as 1200 × 630, unless you type other words or hide the label for a blank image.
Yes. Choose SVG and press Copy SVG to put the markup on your clipboard, or Download to save an .svg file. An SVG stays sharp at any zoom and is usually under one kilobyte. Any label you type is escaped, so it always appears as text and cannot turn into code.
A picture of one colour compresses extremely well, so even a 4K PNG can be tiny. For an upload test that needs a realistic file, open More options and choose Noise: a 1920 × 1080 JPG with noise is several hundred kilobytes, and the page states the exact byte count after each download.
Each side can be 1 to 8,192 pixels, and the whole picture at most 16,777,216 pixels, the 4096 × 4096 a phone browser can draw. Labels are up to 80 characters. JPG has no transparency, and noise needs PNG, JPG or WebP because an SVG has no pixels to vary.
