Turn numbers or a CSV into a bar, line, pie or donut chart, ready to download
Processed in your browser. Nothing is uploaded. Checked against sources on 22 Oct 2026.Chart Maker turns numbers you type, paste or drop as a CSV into a bar, line, pie, donut or stacked bar chart in your browser. Up to 200 rows and 8 series, with a title, axis labels, value labels and colours you can change. Download it as a PNG or an SVG; nothing is uploaded.
Type or paste your data: names in the first column, numbers after a comma or a tab. A CSV file can be dropped instead.
Choose Bar, Line, Pie, Donut or Stacked bar; the chart redraws as you type.
Add a title and axis labels, and change any colour if you need to.
Press Download PNG for documents and slides, or Download SVG for a sharp picture at any size.
How to lay out the data. Put a name in the first column and numbers after it, separated by commas, tabs or semicolons, one row per line. A first row of words names the series, so a sheet copied from Excel or Google Sheets works as it is.
| Month | Online | In store |
|---|---|---|
| Jan | 120 | 80 |
| Feb | 135 | 72 |
That table becomes two series, Online and In store, one colour each. A single column of numbers is also fine: the rows are numbered 1, 2, 3.
Numbers as people write them. 1,234.5, 1.234,5, 12,5, $1,200, 45% and (300) for a negative are all read. An empty cell is a gap, not a zero: a line breaks there instead of dropping to the axis. A cell that is not a number is named with its line, so nothing is guessed.
Which chart. Bar compares amounts, Line shows change over time, Stacked bar shows the parts of each total, and Pie or Donut shows the parts of one whole. A pie draws one series, refuses negative values and joins very small slices into Other once there are more than 8.
Colours that can be told apart. The 8 default colours are checked for readers with red-green or blue-yellow colour blindness, and each series keeps its colour when you add or remove others. Values are written on the bars and slices, and each mark carries its exact value as a tooltip, so nothing depends on colour alone. Any colour can be changed.
Downloads. PNG is drawn at twice the screen size, sharp in documents and slides. SVG is the chart itself as a vector drawing: it scales to any size and opens in Illustrator, Inkscape, Figma and every browser. The data can be saved back as a CSV too.
Everything runs in your browser. The numbers are never uploaded.
Type or paste the data with a name in the first column and numbers after a comma or a tab, one row per line. Choose Bar, Line, Pie, Donut or Stacked bar, add a title, and press Download PNG or Download SVG. The chart redraws while you type.
Yes. Copy the cells, including the header row if you have one, and paste them into the box. Spreadsheets copy as tab-separated text, which is read directly; the header row names each series. A CSV file can also be dropped on the page or chosen with the file button.
PNG suits Word, PowerPoint, email and chat: it is a picture drawn at twice the screen size, so it stays sharp. SVG is a vector drawing that scales to any size without blur and can be edited in Illustrator, Inkscape or Figma, which makes it the better choice for print and websites.
A pie shows the parts of one whole, so only the first column of numbers is drawn, and the page says so. To compare several series use Bar or Stacked bar. Negative numbers cannot be slices, and more than 8 slices are reduced by joining the smallest into Other.
The 8 default colours were checked for red-green and blue-yellow colour blindness, neighbour by neighbour. Values are also written on the chart, and two or more series always get a legend, so no reading depends on colour alone. Any colour can be changed with its colour picker.
No. The chart is drawn by your own browser from the numbers on your screen, and the PNG and SVG files are made on your device. Nothing is sent to a server, and the data is gone when you close the tab unless you save it.
Rates and rules change; check the source before you rely on a figure.
