Put two PDFs side by side and spot changed text, pictures and layout on every page
Processed in your browser. Nothing is uploaded. Updated on 24 Oct 2026.Some changes are not in the words: a swapped logo, a moved signature line, a new chart or a different colour. This page draws each page of both PDFs at the same size and boxes every area that differs, beside the word comparison, so a layout or picture change is caught as well as an edited sentence.
Drop both PDFs on the first box together, or one in each box.
Press Compare PDFs and wait for the pages to be checked.
Tap a page to see the two versions next to each other with changed areas boxed.
Pages that only look different, such as a new logo or picture, are listed too.
Compare PDF shows what changed between two versions of a document: a contract that came back from the other side, a revised quote, a new edition of a policy. It checks every page in two ways and lists only the pages that differ.
Words. The text of each page is read from both files and compared word by word. Removed words are struck through and added words highlighted, so a changed amount, date or clause stands out. Spacing and line breaks from the page layout are ignored, so a paragraph that only reflowed is not reported as changed.
Limits. Up to 100 MB per file and the first 300 pages. Scanned PDFs have no words to compare, only the look. Password-protected files need Unlock PDF first.

Drop the original PDF in the first box and the changed one in the second, then press Compare PDFs. Every page is checked for added and removed words and for areas that look different. Tap a listed page to see both versions side by side with the changes marked.
Both. The words on each page are compared one by one, so an edited figure or clause is marked. Each page is also drawn at the same size in both files and compared pixel by pixel, so a changed logo, picture, signature line or colour is boxed even when no word changed.
Partly. A scan holds pictures of pages, not words, so no word changes can be listed, but the pixel comparison still boxes areas that differ. Two scans of the same paper rarely line up exactly, so expect many boxes; run them through OCR first for a word comparison.
No. Both files are read and drawn by your own browser on your device, and the report is made there too. Nothing reaches a server, so contracts, offers and drafts under negotiation stay private. The page keeps working offline once it has loaded.
