Fonts for your Instagram bio, name and captions, with the bio length counted
Processed in your browser. Nothing is uploaded. Updated on 25 Oct 2026.Type your name or bio once and see it in 22 styles, from bold and cursive to bubbles and small caps, each with its own Copy button. Instagram has no font setting, so these are Unicode letters that look like fonts. Most of them count as two characters each, so a styled bio fills the 150-character limit twice as fast; the counter under every style shows how much room is left.
Type your bio or name into the box; Bold cursive is shown first.

Instagram, WhatsApp, LinkedIn and most games have no font menu. What looks like a font in a bio is a different set of characters: Unicode includes whole alphabets of bold, italic, script, gothic and double-struck letters for mathematics, plus circled, squared, wide and small-capital letters. This generator swaps each of your letters for its twin in 22 such sets at once, so you can compare them side by side and copy the one you want.
What each style is for. Bold and sans bold stand out in a LinkedIn post or a caption. Cursive and bold cursive suit names. Gothic is the usual choice for a gamer tag. Bubbles, squares and small caps look playful in a WhatsApp name. Strikethrough and underline add a line through or under ordinary letters. Upside down reverses and turns the text for a joke.
Three things the other generators do not tell you. First, length: most of these letters take two characters each, so Instagram's 150-character bio holds about 75 bold letters. The count under each style shows it. Second, screen readers read many of them letter by letter or not at all, so a whole bio in fancy text is hard for a blind visitor to hear; use it for a name or a few words. Third, search engines do not read them as words, so a styled name will not be found by searching for it.

Instagram has no font setting, so type your bio here, pick a style and press its Copy button, then paste it into Edit profile. The styled letters are Unicode characters that look like a font. Most take two characters each, so check the count under the style against Instagram's 150-character limit before you paste.
Often not well. A screen reader may spell out each character as a maths symbol, such as mathematical bold capital A, or skip it entirely. For a blind visitor a whole bio in fancy text can be unreadable. Keep styles for a name or a few words, and write the important parts, such as contact details, in plain letters.
Usually, if it fits. Games count characters differently, and most of these letters count as two, so a 12-letter name in gothic may be refused where the plain name fits. Small caps and strikethrough are the shortest styles. If a game rejects a style, try another one or shorten the name.
No. The letters are swapped in your browser as you type, and nothing is uploaded. The last text is kept on this device only so it survives a reload, and Clear removes it. Up to 5,000 characters can be styled at once, which covers any bio, caption or name.
