This page rounds the corners of your picture by the amount you choose and saves a PNG whose corners are clear, so it sits cleanly on any background colour. A border, if you add one, follows the curve.
Add the picture; it opens with rounded corners and no border.
Drag Corner roundness: about 8% suits a photo, 20% a card, 50% makes a pill shape.
Add a border if you like; it follows the curve evenly.
Press Download PNG; the corners stay clear, so it sits on any background.
Add Border to Image puts a coloured frame around a picture and can round its corners or make it a circle. The preview shows the exact result as you change anything, and the saved file is drawn by the same code at full size.
Rounded corners. Corner roundness is a percent of the shorter side, from a gentle 4 percent to 50 percent, which makes a pill shape on a long picture. With a border, the frame's outer corners curve by the picture's radius plus the border, so the band stays the same width all the way round.
Clear corners. Outside a rounded or round shape the file is transparent in PNG and WebP, so the picture sits on any background. JPG cannot be transparent, so the page says so before you save and fills the corners with the background colour you pick.

Drop the photo on this page; a thin white border shows on the preview straight away. Change the width and the colour until it looks right, then press Download. The border is added outside the photo, so none of the picture is covered or cut off.
Choose Rounded corners and drag Corner roundness. About 8 percent suits a photo, 20 percent a card and 50 percent makes a pill shape. Save as PNG or WebP so the corners stay clear; JPG has no transparency and fills them with a background colour.
Yes. Choose Circle and the largest centred square of the picture becomes a circle, saved as a PNG with a clear outside. Add a border for a coloured ring. For a face that is not in the middle, crop the picture first with Crop Image, then make it round here.
JPG cannot store transparent pixels, so anything outside a rounded or round shape has to be filled with a colour, white by default. Pick another background colour with the picker, or save as PNG or WebP to keep the corners clear on any background.
