Type your earnings a month: salary plus overtime and commissions, as article 95 counts them.
Pick Sierra and Amazonía or Costa and Galápagos, and the year the décimos are paid.
If you did not work the whole period, switch it off and enter the date you started.
Read both décimos accumulated, the monthly instalment, the payment deadline and the month-by-month lines.
The Código del Trabajo gives every employee two extra payments. This page works out both for the year you choose, with the dates the Ministerio del Trabajo uses.
Décimo tercero (article 111). One twelfth of what you earn in the period from 1 December to 30 November: salary, overtime, commissions and other normal pay, as article 95 counts it, but not the profit share, the fondo de reserva or the décimos themselves. The law pays it with each month's pay; if you asked in writing, it comes accumulated by 24 December.
Décimo cuarto (article 113). A twelfth of the Salario Básico Unificado (SBU) for each month, the same for everyone whatever they earn. Accumulated, Sierra and Amazonía count 1 August to 31 July and pay by 15 August; Costa and Galápagos count 1 March to the end of February and pay by 15 March. The SBU was US$470 in 2025 and is US$482 in 2026.
How the page counts. Acuerdo MDT-2019-199 sets a 360-day year of 30-day months, so a start on 16 March counts 15 days that month. Because article 113 pays a twelfth of each month's SBU, a period that began in 2025 is worked month by month: US$477 for Sierra 2026 and US$472 for Costa 2026. Many employers pay the whole period at the SBU in force on the payment date, US$482; the page shows both figures. Permanent part-time staff get the décimo cuarto in proportion to their hours out of 40.
What it does not cover. Retired people's décimos, public-sector rules, and leaving a job (see the Ecuador Liquidación Calculator). An estimate from the official texts, not legal advice.

Add everything you earned from 1 December of last year to 30 November, counting overtime and commissions but not the profit share, fondo de reserva or the décimos, and divide by 12. With US$800 every month that is US$800, due by 24 December, or US$66.67 with each month's pay.
A twelfth of the Salario Básico Unificado for each month worked: US$40.17 a month at the 2026 SBU of US$482. Counted month by month, a Sierra period from August 2025 gives US$477, because its 2025 months earned a twelfth of US$470; paid at the SBU in force on the payment date it is US$482.
Accumulated, Sierra and Amazonía count 1 August to 31 July and must be paid by 15 August. Costa and Galápagos count 1 March to the last day of February and must be paid by 15 March. Paid monthly, it comes with each month's pay in every region.
The law pays them monthly with your salary. You can ask your employer in writing, in the first fifteen days of January or when you start the job, to receive them accumulated instead. The total over the period is the same; only the timing changes.
The proportional part. The Ministerio del Trabajo counts a 360-day year of 30-day months, so starting on 16 March gives 255 days of the décimo tercero period: 255 / 360 of a year's pay. The décimo cuarto counts the days from your start in the same way.
Yes. Acuerdo MDT-2019-199 says permanent part-time contracts receive both décimos in proportion to the time worked. Someone on 20 hours a week out of the ordinary 40 gets half the décimo cuarto: US$241 for a full year at the 2026 SBU.
