Checked against sources on 18 Oct 2026, except Andhra Pradesh's profession tax schedule, which the state's tax portal did not show; the Telangana bands are used for it.A cost to company is the total your employer spends on you in a year, and much of it never shows up on a payslip. This page breaks the number into basic pay, house rent allowance, special allowance, bonus, the employer provident fund and the amount set aside for gratuity, so you can compare two offers that quote the same CTC but pay very differently.

Take the CTC, remove the employer's provident fund contribution and the amount set aside for gratuity, and you have gross salary. From gross salary take off your own PF, professional tax and income tax. What is left, divided by twelve, is your in-hand pay. This page does all of it once you enter the CTC.
CTC counts money your employer spends that never reaches your account: its own PF contribution, the gratuity it sets aside, and sometimes insurance. Then your own PF, professional tax and income tax come out of what is left. On a CTC of 12,00,000 with a 50% basic, about 1,00,000 goes to employer PF and gratuity before tax even starts.
Yes. Gratuity is set aside at fifteen days of basic pay for each year, which is 4.81% of yearly basic, and you can turn it off if your CTC does not include it. Bonus is a percentage of CTC that you set. Gratuity is only paid to you after five years of service, so it is not part of monthly take-home.
In-hand salary nikalna: enter the CTC and the basic percentage. The employer's provident fund and the gratuity set aside come off first to give gross salary, then your own 12% PF, your state's professional tax and income tax are deducted. What remains, divided by twelve, is your monthly pay.
