The rates for the first eight hours. An ordinary day pays 100% of the daily rate. Work on a rest day or a special day pays at least 130%, and 150% when a special day falls on the rest day. Work on a regular holiday pays at least 200%, and 260% when it is also the rest day. An unworked regular holiday is still paid at 100%.
Overtime. Beyond eight hours on an ordinary day, each hour is paid at the hourly rate plus at least 25%. On a rest day or any holiday, each overtime hour is paid at that day's hourly rate plus at least 30% of it: ₱87.50 an hour on ₱700 becomes ₱227.50 on a regular holiday.
Night shift differential. Each hour worked between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. earns at least 10% more. The Rules apply the 10% to the rate for that hour: the overtime rate, the rest-day rate or the holiday rate, so the extras multiply.
The daily rate. The hourly rate is the daily rate divided by 8. A monthly-paid employee whose salary covers every day of the year has a daily rate of monthly × 12 ÷ 365; for one paid only for working days, 313 (six days a week) or 261 (five days) is used instead.
Who is covered. Government workers, managers and field personnel are outside these rules; retail and service shops with five or fewer workers need not pay night differential, and those with fewer than ten need not pay holiday pay. Double holidays and premiums under a collective agreement are not modelled.

Divide the daily rate by 8 for the hourly rate. On an ordinary day each overtime hour is paid at the hourly rate plus at least 25%, under article 87 of the Labor Code. On ₱700 a day the hourly rate is ₱87.50 and an overtime hour pays ₱109.38.
Article 86 of the Labor Code gives at least 10% of the regular wage for each hour worked between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. The Implementing Rules apply the 10% to the rate for that hour, so night overtime earns 10% of the overtime rate and night work on a holiday 10% of the holiday rate.
Work on a regular holiday pays at least 200% of the daily wage for the first eight hours, and 260% when the holiday is also your rest day, under Rule IV of the Implementing Rules. An unworked regular holiday is still paid at 100%, so ₱700 a day becomes ₱1,400 for working the holiday.
Work on a special day earns an additional 30% of the regular wage, 130% in all, and 150% when the special day is also your rest day, under article 93 and Rule III section 7. Each overtime hour on such a day adds 30% of that day's hourly rate.
Beyond eight hours on a rest day, special day or regular holiday, each hour is paid at that day's hourly rate plus at least 30% of it, under article 87 and Rule IV section 5. On ₱700 a day, a regular holiday overtime hour pays ₱87.50 × 200% × 130% = ₱227.50.
Government employees, managerial employees, field personnel and domestic workers are excluded. Retail and service establishments regularly employing not more than five workers need not pay night differential, and those regularly employing fewer than ten workers need not pay holiday pay, under Book III of the Implementing Rules.
