This calculator works out the unemployment benefit (işsizlik ödeneği, often called işsizlik maaşı) under article 50 of Law 4447 on Unemployment Insurance, with the 2026 figures İŞKUR publishes.
The amount. The daily benefit is 40% of the average daily gross earnings on which premiums were paid in the last four months. It cannot exceed 80% of the gross monthly minimum wage. The 2026 gross minimum wage is ₺33,030, so the cap is ₺26,424 a month. Paid monthly, it is 30 days of the daily benefit.
Deductions. Article 50 says the benefit is subject to no tax or deduction except stamp duty, which İŞKUR applies at 0.00759.
How long. Someone under a contract for the last 120 days before it ended gets 180 days of benefit after 600 days of unemployment insurance premium in the last three years, 240 days after 900 and 300 days after 1,080.
Who qualifies. Article 51 lists the ways the contract must end: by the employer, by the worker for a just cause, at the end of a fixed term, or through closure or transfer of the workplace, among others. İŞKUR sums it up as being unemployed through no wish or fault of your own. The application goes to İŞKUR within 30 days of the end of the contract.
İŞKUR's examples. An average of ₺33,030 gives ₺13,212.00, paid as ₺13,111.72; ₺55,000 gives ₺22,000.00, paid as ₺21,833.02; ₺80,000 hits the cap, ₺26,424.00, paid as ₺26,223.44. The calculator reproduces all three.
What it does not do. A benefit right carried over from an earlier period, the reasons that stop payment (article 52) and the premium-base ceiling are left out. The law was read on mevzuat.gov.tr and the figures on iskur.gov.tr on 20 October 2026; they may have changed since. İŞKUR decides the amount; this is an estimate.

Take the average gross monthly pay of the last four months on which premiums were paid and multiply by 40%. The result is capped at ₺26,424 a month, 80% of the ₺33,030 gross minimum wage, and 0.759% stamp duty comes off. On ₺55,000 that is ₺22,000, paid as ₺21,833.02.
Article 50 of Law 4447 caps the benefit at 80% of the gross monthly minimum wage. With the 2026 minimum wage of ₺33,030 the cap is ₺26,424.00 a month, and after stamp duty ₺26,223.44 is paid. Any average pay above ₺66,060 reaches the cap.
Benefit runs for 180 days, about six months, after 600 days of unemployment insurance premium in the last three years; 240 days, eight months, after 900 days; and 300 days, ten months, after 1,080 days. The person must also have been under a contract for the last 120 days.
İŞKUR's 2026 table shows that an average of ₺33,030, the gross minimum wage, gives a benefit of ₺13,212.00 a month. After 0.759% stamp duty, ₺100.28, the amount paid is ₺13,111.72 a month for the period the premium days allow.
Article 51 pays benefit only when the contract ends in one of its listed ways, such as by the employer, at the end of a fixed term or by the worker for a just cause. İŞKUR describes this as becoming unemployed through no wish or fault of your own, so an ordinary resignation does not qualify.
İŞKUR asks for the application within 30 days of the contract ending, at an İŞKUR office or online through e-Devlet or the İŞKUR Mobile app. A late application without force majeure is not refused, but the days of delay are taken off the total benefit period.
