Nothing is uploaded.
Press Select a PDF, or drop it on the page; the first page opens, ready to write on.
Click where the text goes and type; set the Font, Size and Colour above the page.
Drag the grip to move a box and the corner to resize it; choose White box, Tick or Cross to add those.
Press Save PDF, then Download. The original pages are kept and your additions sit on top.
Add Text to PDF lets you write on a PDF as if it were paper: fill in a form that has no fields, add a note or a date, correct a detail, or tick the right boxes, without printing and scanning.
Click the page where the text belongs and start typing; press Enter for a new line. The Font, Size and Colour above the page apply to the selected box. Drag the grip at the top-left corner to move a box and the handle at the bottom-right to make it bigger or smaller. Use the page buttons to work on any page, as many boxes as you need.
| Tool | What it adds |
|---|---|
| Text | A text box in Sans, Sans bold, Serif or Mono |
| White box | A white rectangle that covers what is under it |
| Tick and Cross | A check mark or a cross, sized to fit a form box |
A white box hides words on screen and in print, but they are still in the file. To remove confidential text for good, use Redact PDF.
Yes. Your additions are drawn on top of each page as a new layer of content; the page's own text, images and layout are not rewritten, and the pages stay in the same order and size. Text is written in the standard PDF fonts, so it is real text that can be searched and copied.
The standard fonts cover English and Western European letters. A line in another script, such as Cyrillic, Arabic or Bengali, is placed as a picture of the text instead, so it still looks right and prints, but cannot be searched.
Everything runs in your browser and the PDF never leaves your device. To add a signature, use Sign PDF; to make the result uneditable, use Flatten PDF.
Open the PDF here, click where the text should go and type. Set the font, size and colour above the page, drag the box into place, then press Save PDF and Download. There is no account and no watermark, and the PDF never leaves your device because everything runs in your browser.
A form made for printing has lines but no fields. Click on each line here and type the answer, use Tick to mark boxes, move between pages with the page buttons, and save. The answers are real text in a standard font, so the filled form prints sharply and can be searched.
Yes, with White box: click the words and drag the corner until they are hidden, then type a correction on top if needed. The covered words stay in the file underneath, so for confidential text use Redact PDF, which deletes the words rather than hiding them.
No. The additions are drawn as a new layer on top of each page, and the original text, images, page sizes and page order are kept exactly. A PDF with a digital signature will show that signature as changed, because any edit re-saves the file; keep the original as well.
Four standard PDF fonts: Sans, Sans bold, Serif and Mono, from 6 to 96 points, in black, blue, red, green or white. They cover English and Western European letters. A line in Cyrillic, Arabic, Bengali or another script is placed as a picture of the text, which prints but is not searchable.
No. The pages are shown and the new PDF is written in your browser, with the saving done in a background worker so the page stays responsive. PDFs of up to 100 MB and 2000 pages are accepted; a password-protected file asks for its password first.
