Crop to 4:5 portrait, 1:1 square or 9:16 story without Instagram cutting it
Processed in your browser. Nothing is uploaded. Updated on 25 Oct 2026.Instagram trims anything that is not 4:5, 1:1 or 9:16, often through the middle of a face. Choose the shape here instead and decide the framing yourself. The box starts at 4:5 portrait, the shape that fills the most of a phone screen in the feed, and the result is saved at 1080 by 1350 pixels. Switch to square or story in one tap before you download.
Add the photo; the Shape starts at 4:5, the portrait post that fills most of a phone screen.
Move the box so the face or subject sits where you want it, since Instagram will not trim it again.
Switch the Shape to Square 1:1 for a square post or 9:16 for a story if you need those instead.
Keep Save at 1080×1350 on and press Download cropped image to get the post-ready file.
Crop Image cuts a photo down to the part you want and saves it as a new JPG, PNG or WebP file. Drag the box over the picture, pull any of its eight handles, or type the exact width and height in pixels. A rule-of-thirds grid helps you place the subject where the eye expects it.
People use it to make a square profile picture from a group shot, to trim a screenshot to just the error message, and to prepare photos for forms and social media. The shape buttons lock the box to 1:1, 4:5, 4:3, 3:2, 16:9, 9:16 or a 35 by 45 mm passport photo. For shapes with a standard size, one switch saves the result at that size, for example 413 by 531 pixels for an Indian passport or 1080 by 1350 for an Instagram portrait post.
Everything happens on your device. The photo is never uploaded, which matters for ID photos and personal pictures. Files up to 50 MB work, including iPhone HEIC photos, which are saved as JPG because browsers cannot write HEIC. The output is decoded fresh from your original, so a crop never loses more quality than the format you choose.

Add the photo and press Square 1:1. The box becomes the largest square that fits your picture and stays square while you resize it from the corners. Drag it over the part you want to keep, then press Crop and download. Turn on the standard size switch to save it at 1080 by 1080 pixels.
Choose Passport 35×45 mm. The box locks to that shape. Place it so the face is centred with a little space above the head, keep Save at 413×531 switched on, and download. That is 35 by 45 mm at 300 DPI, the size Indian passport, visa and exam portals ask for.
Yes. Type the width and height into the boxes under the picture. With a shape locked, typing one side sets the other. If the size is larger than the photo, the tool tells you instead of stretching it, because enlarging adds pixels but not detail.
Photo crop karna: drag the box over the part you want, pull any of its eight handles, or type an exact width and height in pixels. The shape buttons lock it to 1:1, 4:5, 16:9 or a 35 by 45 mm passport photo. One image at a time, up to 50 MB.
