Put clips together into one video, copied frame for frame when they match

Processed in your browser. Nothing is uploaded. Updated on 24 Oct 2026.

Join videos online without uploading them: clips with the same size and codec are copied frame for frame into one video with no quality lost, and a clip that does not match is named with the reason, so only that one is re-encoded. Up to 200 clips and 20 GB in total are joined in your browser.

Next:
  • Trim the video Cut several clips out of one video, keeping the original quality where it can
  • Take the sound out Take the sound out of a video and keep it exactly as it was recorded

How to join videos into one

1

Press Choose clips and pick the MP4, MOV or M4V files; they are put in order by name and not uploaded.

2

Use the arrows on each row to change the order, or press Sort by name to go back to name order.

3

Check the badge on each clip: Copied means frame for frame, and Re-encoded marks a clip that did not match, with the reason.

4

Press the Join clips button and choose where to save the MP4, or let it download.

About Join Videos

Join Videos puts clips together into one MP4, in the order you set, without compressing the ones that do not need it.

Order. Clips are sorted by name the way a person reads numbers, so clip 2 comes before clip 10 and DUA_C09 before DUA_C10. Arrows on each row move a clip earlier or later. For AI clips made across several sessions, the Bulk File Renamer numbers them straight through first.

Copied, not re-encoded. A video track has one picture size and one codec, so clips that share them can be written one after another exactly as they are: every frame of the result is a frame of a source clip, byte for byte. H.264 clips from different encoders still count as matching, because each clip carries its own settings at every keyframe, where decoders pick them up. Different frame rates do not matter either: each clip keeps its own timing.

The clip that does not match. A phone clip at 1080×1920 among 1280×720 clips, or an H.265 clip among H.264 ones, is decoded, fitted to the common size with bars where the shape differs, and encoded at a high bitrate. The page names it and says why before you press anything; the others are still copied.

Sound. When every clip has AAC sound at the same rate, it is copied too. When one clip is silent or its sound differs, the whole soundtrack is joined and encoded once at 256 kbps, with silence where a clip had none, so the sound never drifts out of step with the pictures.

Big files. Nothing is uploaded. In Chrome and Edge the joined video is written straight to the place you choose while it is being made, so a 10 GB result needs no extra memory. Other browsers download it when it is finished.

Frequently asked questions

How do I join videos without losing quality?

Drop the clips and press Join. Clips with the same picture size and codec are copied into the result frame for frame, never decoded or compressed again, so the joined video is exactly as sharp as the originals. Only a clip that does not match is re-encoded, and the page names it first.

How do I put the clips in the right order?

Clips are sorted by file name the way numbers are read, so clip 2 comes before clip 10. Use the arrows on each row to move one, or Sort by name to start again. For AI clips from several sessions, number them first with the Bulk File Renamer.

Can I join clips with different resolutions?

Yes. The result takes the size most of your clips already have, and any clip of another size is fitted to it, with black bars if its shape differs, and encoded. That clip is named with the reason; every matching clip is still copied without being touched.

Can I join a video recorded at 30 fps with one at 24 fps?

Yes, and nothing is re-encoded for it. An MP4 stores a time for every frame, so each clip plays at its own rate one after the other. Every mainstream player, and YouTube, handles this; the page notes the difference instead of charging a re-encode for it.

What happens to the sound?

If every clip has AAC sound at the same sample rate, the sound is copied too. If one clip is silent or its sound is in another form, the whole soundtrack is joined and encoded once at 256 kbps, with silence where needed, so it stays in step with the pictures.

Are my videos uploaded?

No. The clips are read in slices inside your browser and the joined video is written on your device. In Chrome and Edge it is saved straight to disk as it is made, so even a very large result needs no extra memory.
