That password is needed to decrypt the file and is never sent anywhere. Up to 10 files of 100 MB each, unlocked on your device.
Press Select PDF files and choose the protected PDF.
Type the password you use to open it and press Unlock.
If the file only has editing restrictions, press Remove restrictions instead.
Press Download to save a copy that opens without a password; the password is never stored.
Unlock PDF removes the password from a PDF you can already open, so you stop typing it every time. You add the file, enter the password you know, and download a copy with the protection removed and the pages exactly as they were.
Bank and credit card statements, salary slips and insurance documents in India commonly arrive locked with a PAN, date of birth or phone number. People unlock them once so the files can be merged into a loan application, searched, or filed without remembering a different password for each month. The tool also lifts printing and copying restrictions from a PDF that opens without a prompt but refuses to print, when you hold its owner password.
Decryption runs entirely on your device. Neither the file nor the password is sent anywhere, and the password is forgotten as soon as the file is unlocked. Up to 10 files per batch, each up to 100 MB and 2,000 pages, covering standard PDF encryption from RC4 40-bit to AES-256. A file locked by a certificate or a rights-management server has no password to remove, and is refused when you add it rather than called damaged. A file that is not protected is reported as such and can be downloaded unchanged.
This tool needs the password. It cannot open a PDF whose password you do not have, cannot recover a forgotten one, and never guesses. If you have lost the password, ask whoever issued the file for a fresh copy. Use Protect PDF to add a new password to the result.
No. Unlock PDF only removes protection from files you can already open with the correct password. It does not guess, brute-force or bypass encryption, and there is no tool on this site that does. If you have forgotten the password, ask the sender or issuer for a fresh copy.
No. The PDF is decrypted by code running in your browser using the password you type. Neither leaves your device, and the password is discarded as soon as the file is unlocked. You can confirm this by switching off your connection after the page loads; the tool still works.
Add the statement, type the password the bank gave you, usually your PAN, date of birth or registered mobile number in the format described in the bank's email, and click Unlock. Download the copy named statement-unlocked.pdf. It opens without a prompt from then on.
A user password is needed to open the file at all. An owner password allows opening but restricts printing, copying or editing. This tool accepts either. With the owner password it removes the restrictions; with the user password it removes the open prompt and any restrictions together.
Yes. Pages, text, images, links and form fields are kept as they are. In the rare case that a file cannot be rebuilt as a normal PDF, the tool rebuilds it from page images and tells you so; it then prints and reads the same but its text is no longer selectable.
Up to 10 PDFs at a time, each up to 100 MB and 2,000 pages. Standard PDF encryption is supported: RC4 40-bit and 128-bit, and AES 128-bit and 256-bit. A PDF locked with a certificate or a rights-management server instead of a password is refused as soon as it is added, and says so.
PDF ka password hatao: add the file, type the password you already know, and download the unlocked copy. Bank statements usually use your PAN or date of birth. Up to 10 PDFs at a time, each 100 MB. A forgotten password cannot be recovered here, and nothing is ever guessed.
