This calculator works out a month's payroll for an employee in relación de dependencia in Argentina in 2026, from ARCA's withholding tables, RG 4.003 and the laws on argentina.gob.ar.
Aportes. The employee pays 11% for jubilación (Ley 24.241), 3% to the INSSJP, known as PAMI (Ley 19.032), and 3% to the obra social (Ley 23.660). All three stop at the base imponible máxima, which ANSES updates every month: $4,769,631.49 from October 2026 (Resolución 284/2026). You can change it for another month.
Ganancias, step by step. The employer works on the year to date. It adds up the gross pay since January, adds a twelfth for the aguinaldo (SAC), and takes off the aportes and the personal deductions of article 30: the mínimo no imponible, the special deduction for employees, a spouse and children. A twelfth of those deductions is added too. The month's ARCA scale (5% to 35%) gives the tax to date; this month's withholding is that tax less what was withheld before.
Why July can bring a refund. ARCA raised the deductions and the scale for July to December 2026 by inflation. For a salary that paid a little tax in the first half, the tax to date can fall, and the employer pays the difference back in the payslip.
A worked example. On $5,000,000 in October, single: $810,837.34 aportes on the capped base, $16,589,482.03 taxable to date, $2,516,911.15 tax to date less $2,340,228.51 to September, so $176,682.64 this month. Net pay: $4,012,480.02.
Not included. Other deductions (rent, prepaid health, domestic staff, insurance), union dues, the Patagonian zone, a disabled child, overtime rules and the annual settlement. For the aguinaldo itself see the Aguinaldo Calculator; for dismissal pay the Argentina Severance Calculator.

An employee pays 17% in aportes: 11% for jubilación, 3% for the INSSJP (PAMI) and 3% for the obra social, on pay up to the base imponible máxima of $4,769,631.49 a month from October 2026. Above a certain salary the employer also withholds Ganancias, the income tax on wages.
Under RG 4.003 the employer adds up the year's pay to date, plus a twelfth for the aguinaldo, less aportes and personal deductions. ARCA's scale for the month, from 5% to 35%, gives the tax to date, and the month's withholding is that figure less what was withheld in earlier months.
For a single employee with no children, steady pay above about $3,000,000 gross a month owed tax in the first half of 2026, after the 17% of aportes. ARCA raised the deductions from July, so over the whole year a single person owes tax only above about $3,253,000 a month.
ARCA updates the deductions and the scale every six months by inflation. When the July figures rise, the tax due on the year to date can fall below what was already withheld, and RG 4.003 says the difference is given back. A pay cut or a new deduction in SiRADIG has the same effect.
ANSES sets it every month by the movilidad index. Resolución 284/2026 fixes $4,769,631.49 from the October 2026 period, with a minimum of $146,759.98. Pay above the maximum carries no jubilación, PAMI or obra social aportes; the employer's contributions have no cap.
Partly. Ganancias is withheld with a twelfth of the aguinaldo added every month, as RG 4.003 requires, so the monthly figure already allows for it. The aguinaldo payment itself, half a best monthly salary in June and December, is worked out by the separate Aguinaldo Calculator.
