Read the vacation pay, the 30% premium and, when leaving, the proportional part line by line.
This calculator works out the paid annual leave of the Salvadoran Código de Trabajo, for a full year of service or for the part of a year left when a job ends.
The rule. After a year of continuous work with the same employer, article 177 gives 15 days of leave paid with the ordinary salary for those days plus 30% of it. The calculator takes a monthly salary divided by 30 as the day's pay, the usual reading for a monthly salary, so the vacation pay is 15 x daily pay x 1.30. Article 180 asks for at least 200 days worked in the year; without them nothing is due for that year.
Variable pay. For pay by commission, piece or any form other than time, article 183 takes the ordinary pay of the six months before the leave divided by the working days in them. Switch to variable pay and type both figures.
Lodging and food. When the employer provides lodging or food and they stop during the leave, article 184 raises the vacation pay by 25% for each. The calculator applies the 25% to the whole vacation pay, once per item.
When the job ends. Article 187 pays the vacation days in proportion to the time worked when the worker is dismissed without legal cause or the contract ends with the employer responsible. The calculator counts the days since the last anniversary of the start date (article 179) and pays that share of a full year's vacation pay. A completed year whose leave was not taken is paid whatever the reason the job ended.
What it leaves out. Income tax, ISSS and AFP on the payment, collective leave under article 189, and agreements that give more than the law.

Article 177 of the Código de Trabajo gives 15 days of leave after a year of continuous work, paid with the ordinary salary for those days plus 30%. With a monthly salary, a day is the salary divided by 30, so the vacation pay is 15 x daily pay x 1.30, or 65% of one month's salary.
A day's pay is $600 / 30 = $20.00, so 15 days are $300.00 and the 30% premium adds $90.00, for $390.00 in total. The $300 is the normal salary for those days; the $90 premium is the extra the worker receives on top of it.
Article 180 requires at least 200 days worked in the year of service, even when the contract does not ask for work every day of the week. Days when the contract was suspended do not break the continuity of the year but do not count as days worked (article 181).
Yes. Article 187 pays the vacation days in proportion to the time worked when the worker is dismissed without legal cause or the contract ends with the employer responsible. After 184 days of an unfinished year on $600 a month, that is $390 x 184 / 365 = $196.60.
The proportional part of an unfinished year is due on dismissal without cause, not on resignation, under article 187. But if a whole year of service was completed and its leave not yet taken, the employer must pay that vacation whatever the reason the contract ended.
Article 183 takes the ordinary pay earned in the six months before the leave and divides it by the working days in those months. With $3,900 over 156 working days, a day is $25.00, so the vacation pay is 15 x $25 x 1.30 = $487.50.
