Shrink a video to the size you choose in MB, such as under 25 MB for email
Processed in your browser. Nothing is uploaded. Updated on 26 Oct 2026.Email attachments stop at 25 MB, many upload forms at 10 or 16. Type the limit you have to meet and this page works out the bitrate that fits the video into it, sound included, with a small margin for the MP4 container. A target too small to watch is refused with the size that would work, and a file already under the target is handed back untouched. Everything happens on your device.
Press Choose a video and pick the file.
Target size is already chosen under Export size, set to half of your file; type the number of MB you need instead, such as 25 for email.
If the target is too small for the length, the page says how many MB would work, or lets you pick 720p or 480p to fit.
Press Compress the video, then Download a file at or just under the target.
Trim Video gives back the parts of a video you want: one clip, or up to twenty, downloaded separately or joined into one video.
Keep original quality is a true copy. The compressed frames are lifted out of the original container and written into a new one without being decoded, so the picture and sound are identical to the source rather than merely close to it, and a ten-second clip is ready in well under a second. The price is that a cut can only start where a keyframe already exists. The page measures the keyframe spacing in your file — six seconds apart is common on downloaded video, half a second on a phone recording — and snaps the start handle to real keyframes as you drag it, so the time shown is the time you get.
Adjust and Export size. Crop, rotate, mirror, change speed (0.25x to 4x, pitch kept), or shrink to 720p or a target size. All re-encode.
The rest of the article, and all 8 questions about Trim Video, are on the Trim Video page.
No. Reading, cutting and writing all happen inside this browser tab on your own device, and the page only ever loads the slices of the file it needs. A 10 GB recording never travels anywhere, which is why the tool keeps working when your connection drops after the page has loaded.
Yes, up to twenty ranges from a single source in one run. Choose separate files and they arrive as a zip, or choose joined and they are written end to end into one video. Because every clip shares a codec and a resolution, joining them needs no re-compression on the copy path.
Pick 9:16 tall under shape, then choose Crop to fill the frame or Pad to keep the whole picture with bars beside it. Changing shape means every frame is drawn again and re-encoded, so expect roughly 40 seconds of work per minute of 1080p footage and a result very close to, not identical to, the source.
MP4, M4V and MOV files up to 10 GB and 6 hours, with H.264, H.265, VP9 or AV1 video. Frames over 4096 pixels a side are refused. One export can be up to 512 MB, because the finished file is built in the browser tab; save a longer part as several clips. WebM and AVI are not read yet, and a file the page cannot parse says so instead of producing a broken download.
